About Flame Working
Flameworking glass is the process of heating glass rods and tubes in a flame with a gas torch to manipulate glass and achieve the desired effect. It has roots as far back as ancient Egypt and is experiencing a renaissance across America with the emergence and broader availability of new types of glasses, expanding color palettes, and advances in tools. We are just beginning to see what is possible with flameworked glass as a medium.
